COMMUNITY CLASSROOM
At YESUSA, we believe that nurturing character and instilling values in our future leaders is the key to a better tomorrow. The impact of our collaborative project, COMMUNITY CLASSROOM, featuring YESUSA Transformational Cities, JED White, LLC, GOing2COLLEGEisEZ, Let's Make a Difference, Norfolk Public Schools, and others, is a shining example of the power of collaboration.

Developing Values Based Leaders Through:
1. Meal & Message Sessions: Large group gatherings of naturally forming groups of students where a meal is shared and a message heard.
2. Values Based Leadership Small Group Roundtables: Weekly discussions where students are given a safe space to discuss important topics and grow in their leadership abilities.
3. College and Career Exploration Small Group Sessions: Mentors meet with students weekly to help them identify their strengths and interests, explore career options, and take small steps to achieve their goals. College and workplace tours take place throughout the school year.
4. Parent Engagement: Fun and engaging parent events are held monthly at select schools where parents receive encouragement and parenting tools.
5. Community Outreach: Community Classroom collaborators bring values to the football stadiums and gymnasiums through signage, parent engagement, and announcements.
